Beth has had an interest in the intersection of technology and the arts since she was a child, and as a teenager used to skip calculus class to watch Charles Csuri present some of the world’s earliest computer animations. Had she had a better glimpse into the future, she would have made computer programming and animation her life’s work. Instead, she studied math and the arts, returning to computer graphics after discovering form*Z, a CAD program, while earning her architecture degree at the Ohio State University.
She has visited 5 continents, 18 countries, and most of the continental US, and hopes to fill her passport with Visas before she is done. She maintains a working relationship with the arts community through her participation in Dorkbot, Noisebridge, The Mad Scientists Collective, The Monaco, Hudzo projects, and other bay area arts organizations, and served as Gallery Manager for an annual conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
Beth holds a Masters in Art and Visual Theory from the University of Virginia, and a Masters in Architecture from Ohio State University. She spends most of her working life as a Technical Writer and Content Designer for software startups here in the Bay area, and considers herself one of the luckiest people in the world to live here.
She owns her own sawzall, and is not afraid to use it.
